ABOUT THE ROLE
As our next Electrical CHPP Operator / Maintainer reporting to the CHPP Supervisor, this role will see you operating all areas of the Coal Handling Preparation Plant in line with the production schedules.
The Lake Vermont Coal Project is situated in Dysart, North Queensland.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Operate and maintain the CHPP according to the daily operational plan and maintenance strategies.
- Operate mobile and ancillary equipment in the CHPP as directed; manage the coal stockpiles and perform train load out operations.
- Perform first response breakdown as required.
- Ensure cleanliness in all areas of the CHPP.
- Comply with site procedures, instructions to ensure safe and consistent delivery of the CHPP production targets.
Roster & Conditions
- 7 on 7 off rotating shift roster
- 12.25-hour day & night shift
- Permanent position
- Camp accommodation provided
- Bus will be provided Mackay and Rockhampton to camp
- Salary sacrifice flights available
OUR REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this role you are required to have:
- Current QLD Electrical Licence and Low Voltage Rescue
- Previous or current experience working within the CHPP mining environment.
- Site Authorisations or Nationally Recognised Competencies for mobile and fixed plant equipment such as CAT 992 Loader and/or CAT D10/D11 Dozer advantageous
- High Voltage Switching and Hazardous Area competencies preferred
- High commitment to a positive safety culture.
- Current Standard 11 Statement of Attainment.
