About your role

Reporting to the Superintendent – Electrical Integrity, you will contribute to our Safe, Stable and Sustainable vision by:

  • Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with site health, environmental and community policies, systems and procedures
  • Conducting and leading electrical incident investigations
  • Being involved in planned and unplanned breakdown work
  • Troubleshooting, calibrating and repairing fixed plant electrical and high voltage distribution assets
  • Completing verification and condition assessment of Electrical and Power Distribution assets; recording results by maintaining heat maps
  • Identifying and implementing improvement initiatives which will involve working with many different disciplines within the organisation 
  • Identifying defects and providing feedback on asset performance, reliability and asset health
  • Monitoring, isolating, commissioning and defect elimination of electrical and power distribution equipment and systems 
  • Supporting the central area with Electrical / Technical competency training and compliance
  • Providing technical support for the relevant area E/I team 

What you will bring

To be successfully considered for this role, you should have: 

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Electrical / Instrumentation trade qualifications
  • Experience with LV & HV Motors, Power Distribution equipment and Protection relay systems is essential
  • Ability to apply effective problem solving and fault-finding techniques
  • Experience in maintaining, replacing and calibrating of instrumentation equipment
  • Ability to work autonomously and as an effective team member
