About your role
Reporting to the Superintendent – Electrical Integrity, you will contribute to our Safe, Stable and Sustainable vision by:
- Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with site health, environmental and community policies, systems and procedures
- Conducting and leading electrical incident investigations
- Being involved in planned and unplanned breakdown work
- Troubleshooting, calibrating and repairing fixed plant electrical and high voltage distribution assets
- Completing verification and condition assessment of Electrical and Power Distribution assets; recording results by maintaining heat maps
- Identifying and implementing improvement initiatives which will involve working with many different disciplines within the organisation
- Identifying defects and providing feedback on asset performance, reliability and asset health
- Monitoring, isolating, commissioning and defect elimination of electrical and power distribution equipment and systems
- Supporting the central area with Electrical / Technical competency training and compliance
- Providing technical support for the relevant area E/I team
What you will bring
To be successfully considered for this role, you should have:
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Electrical / Instrumentation trade qualifications
- Experience with LV & HV Motors, Power Distribution equipment and Protection relay systems is essential
- Ability to apply effective problem solving and fault-finding techniques
- Experience in maintaining, replacing and calibrating of instrumentation equipment
- Ability to work autonomously and as an effective team member
