Job Description

Within the Energy Queensland, HR Centre of Excellence team you will find a small, dedicated team who are at the heart of delivering the ‘Early Careers Program’. The Early Careers Program encompasses the growing scholarship, graduate, and work experience programs and are crucial to the ongoing development of our workforce and to ensuring Energy Queensland is positioned to deliver in line with the Queensland Energy & Jobs Plan (QEJP). 

 

What we can tell you about this role. 

As one of two Early Careers Coordinators, you'll be responsible for providing the administration support to the ‘Senior Advisor’ of the Early Careers Program. You’ll be the central point of contact for enquiries and communications from current and potential program candidates, employees, graduates and external stakeholders alike. 

For some insight as to what your days will look like, you will be working with a colleague to support the Energy Queensland Scholarship Program, which is the largest program of its kind in Australia, by supporting scholarship holders as they progress through their study and work experience journey. 

You’ll liaise and engage with Universities, TAFE and other external bodies to schedule, co-ordinate and facilitate marketing and careers fair sessions, as well as represent EQL at these events. 

You’ll support the end-to-end recruitment process for the programs in the Early Careers scope, including setting up interviews, issuing contracts and planning the onboarding activities, and coordinate the bi-annual rotation of graduates through different divisions of the Energy Queensland group, to ensure a smooth experience for graduates and leaders alike. 

Your commitment, attention to detail and effective communication will be a key contributor to effective delivery of the programs and the success of your team. Remuneration will range from $98K plus super for a 9-day fortnight or from $113K plus super for a 10-day fortnight.

Who are you?

You’re an experienced and highly organised administrator who has previous experience working on a graduate program or in the university sector. You’ll be agile and comfortable with managing multiple priorities, which at times may have shifting deadlines and, you’ll bring highly developed communication skills, so you can support and influence decisions and forge productive relationships.
