E&I Technician

Job Description

Due to an ever-increasing amount of incoming work, we are currently seeking applications from a highly skilled, and safety focused E&I Technician to join the Maintenance team on site on Curtis Island.

Please note, this role is NOT FIFO and Gladstone locals are strongly encouraged to apply.

This position will support an experienced E&I Technician looking to step into a Supervisor/Planning role.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working knowledge of asset maintenance management systems
  • Experienced in LNG and or Petrochemical, Oil & Gas facilities.
  • Experienced in records management & work pack development
  • Identify, order and coordinate materials required to complete the work schedule
  • Liaising with Maintenance Leaders, Planning Team and other support functions such as Logistics and Warehousing.
  • Upholding and ensuring compliance to all Environment, Health & Safety management systems and contribute to a strong EHS culture
  • Monitoring planning & scheduling performance measures and take action to identify opportunity and implement improvement initiatives

 Key qualification, skills & experience required:

  • Current QLD Electrical Licence
  • Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation
  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology
  • Current CPR / LVR
  • EEHA Certification – (Preferred)
  • Swagelok Training – (Preferred)
  • Construction Industry Induction
  • Drivers Licence
  • Experience using SAP (preferred)
  • Sound MS Suite Skills – Word, Excel etc.
  • Sound field knowledge to develop detailed scopes of work.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and excellent presentation skills with a strong focus on safety, production, technical integrity, and cost
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar facility or related industry workplace
