We are currently on the hunt for Diesel Mechanics to join our Mackay Workshop, on a full-time basis! This role involves the service, repair and maintenance of all fleet vehicles in an efficient and timely manner in accordance with the maintenance and workshop procedures.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Effectively diagnose and find faults in the mechanical assessment of machinery for repair, maintenance and service.
• Servicing for all fleet, including trucks, trailers, dollys and motor vehicles in accordance with the maintenance procedure and workshop manual
• Replacement of brakes, suspension components and steering systems
• Body building, including welding and grinding of chassis or comb rails on flat top trailers
• Auto electrical work on all 12- or 24-volt system to comply with dangerous goods code
• Ensure that all paperwork is completed accurately

Who we are looking for

• Trade certified in Heavy Diesel Mechanics
• Experience in a similar role
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team
• Ability to think creatively to solve problems
