Control & Communications Technician - Gracemere/Rockhampton

We are currently seeking an experienced telecommunications tradesperson to support the maintenance of Aurizon’s infrastructure assets across Central QLD.

About your new role:

  • 8 day fortnight roster and requirement to be on call on a scheduled basis
  • Relevant reporting and accurate record keeping as required
  • Conduct routine & preventative maintenance and repair of assets
  • Complete fault finding, rectification, commissioning, and decommissioning tasks
  • Ensure materials and tools are maintained appropriately and available to support scheduled works
  • Out of town travel across Central Queensland Coal Network for closures/maintenance as required

Here is what you will need to succeed in your new role: 

  • Current Class C Drivers Licence (essential)
  • ACA Base Cabling and Restricted Electrical Work licences (essential, however, support with obtaining will be provided)
  • Certificate III in Electronics & Communications Trade Qualification (essential)
  • Highly skilled in the repair, maintenance, and overhaul of assets
  • Industrial telecommunications systems knowledge and experience 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Substantial knowledge and experience with defects and fault rectification, testing and commissioning/decommissioning of network systems
