The Project

CPB have been engaged as part of a JV to undertake a Design & Construction Project as part of the Olive Downs Complex, located outside of Moranbah.  This Greenfields scope includes design, procurement, fabrication, civil, SMPE&I, Commissioning and testing.  You will be joining a high performing site based team on this exciting multi-discipline project.

Your Opportunity

CPB Contractors are currently seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join our Olive Downs Complex project in Central Queensland. This is a great opportunity to showcase your hands-on commercial delivery expertise, embedded as a crucial member of our project delivery team. 

As Contracts Administrator, you will be accountable for:

  • Providing ongoing commercial support - ensuring that suppliers, vendors, and sub-contractors engaged in support of the project are adhering to the terms under which they were engaged
  • Directly administering contracts in support of project deliverables - ensuring that budgets are met
  • Ensuring all commercial activity follows the guidelines specified by the Project Management Plan
  • Preparing monthly reports
  • Ensuring robust and transparent management of Cost Management Systems
  • Assisting Engineers with the preparation and accurate forecasting of costs
  • Reviewing and generating claims and payments

To be considered you will have:

  • Experience in a similar position in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Contractor is preferred but no essential
  • Similar experience working in a construction project environment
  • Excellent commercial awareness
  • Confidence and ability to negotiate, influence and develop relationships at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully and autonomously within a fast-paced project environment and deliver on deadlines
  • Hold proven verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain relationships across diverse stakeholders
  • Focus and commitment to a zero-harm environment
