The Opportunity
This role is a newly created position for a Commercial Finance Manager who will play a vital role in continuing to drive the financial success of the business. Reporting directly to the Directors, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the leadership team and contribute to strategic decision-making processes. About You
To excel in this role, you will be an experienced Accounting/Finance Professional, qualified as a CPA or Chartered Accountant, possessing a strong background in finance and accounting principles. Your exceptional analytical skills, coupled with your ability to understand complex financial data, will be critical in providing sound financial decision support to our Directors and Management Team. As the business has multiple entities, skills and experience in group accounting/reporting and analysis will be pivotal to your success in this role. You will naturally have a very keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting and analysis.
As an IT-savvy individual, you will be proficient in utilising financial management software and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. Your ability to adapt to emerging technologies and data analytics will enable you to extract meaningful insights and drive data-driven decision-making.
Key Selection Criteria:
1. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance management role, with knowledge/experience of the construction industry
2. Qualifications: Qualified CPA or Chartered Accountant with a recognised accounting degree
3. Technical Expertise: Strong financial analysis and decision support capabilities, with working knowledge of Xero and other financial reporting and analysis software
4. Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a finance team effectively
5. Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
6. Information Technology: Tech savvy, innovative with strong proficiency in utilising financial software tools and advanced Excel skills
7. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate actionable insights from financial data
