Job Description

Civils Crew Labourer who is responsible for the maintenance and installation of underground and internal communications assets within the NBN contract.

 

Nature of position:      Permanent /Full time

Location:                       Townsville, Cairns or Mackay

Reporting Line:            Field Supervisor

 

Job Description

Assisting the Crew Lead in all Civil Remediation Tasks on the NBN Contract.

To be considered for this opportunity you will have previous experience working in the Telecommunications industry as a Cable Hauler and in Pit and Pipe Construction and Maintenance .

Relevant field experience in survey, rod & roping, hauling and splicing.

Relevant technical qualifications.

Competent in reading and interpreting cable install plans

Competent in utilising tablet device

Previous experience in Pipe Proving/Scoping for cable install

Ability to haul various types of cable types/sizes- Fibre and Hard-line

Operation of Pipe Jetter

Confined Space & Gas Test

Telstra Contractor Induction•NBN enAble Induction

Asbestos Awareness Training

RIIWHS302D- Implement traffic management plan

First Aid & CPR Course HLTAID011

Knowledge of different types of Telecommunication Networks/Carriers Requirements

Basic Civil works experience

•Valid Driver’s License
