COMMUNITY SOLUTIONS is seeking mature and junior age candidates that are committed in completing a Skilled Construction Worker – Road Construction and Maintenance Traineeship (Certificate III in Civil Construction). The successful candidates must have strong knowledge and passion for the industry, labour experience and the ability to work a rotating shift roster in a large safety-first organisation.

The Traineeship will involve but not limited to:

  • Learning to read plans and overviews and follow and implement as directed
  • Carry out measurements and calculations
  • Maintenance and repair on all types of road
  • Operate small plant and equipment
  • Implantation of traffic management plans
  • The work is outdoors in most weather condition’s day or night.
  • Willing to work a Roster including weekend and shift work.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Construction White Card
  • Manual driver’s license (or must be committed to obtain with 6 months)
  • Ability to provide two references or school report card
  • Pass a pre-employment medical with drug and alcohol testing.

Community Solutions is a non-for-profit organisation operating as a commercial business, providing apprentices and trainees to a variety of different businesses throughout Queensland. We provide apprentices and trainees important career guidance and opportunity to earn while they learn. Dedicated Field Officers are assigned to apprentices and trainees to provide ongoing support to completing their chosen trade qualification.
