CHPP Production Superintendent | Southern end of the Bowen Basin

Alchemy Recruitment Consultingis working with a leading mining company, who currently have a permanent vacancy for a CHPP Production Superintendent to join them at their flagship open cut mine located in the Southern end of the Bowen Basin.

About the Role:

As theCHPP Production Superintendent you will report to the CHPP Manager, and will oversee all CHPP production overall operations ensuring effective and efficient running of the plant while meeting production targets.

Overview:

  • Understand the overarching process of production and the day to day running of the CHPP.
  • Analyse performance data to identify and prioritise areas for improvement
  • Working closely with the CHPP maintenance Superintendent
  • Provide and account for monthly production budgets, maintain and monitor accruals in relation to capital and operational spending.
  • Monitor performance against the plan, lead the team to identify the risks of delivering the production plan and implement actions to deliver target performance.
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships across a range of both internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage workshop facilities and provide leadership and guidance to Production Supervisors and teams ensuring a safe work environment a commitment to safety.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mineral Processing or Chemical Engineering  
  • 8 plus years’ experience in a coal processing and material handling operation
  • Previous experience at a CHPP Superintendents level
  • Strong people management skills and demonstrated experience
  • Experience with Oracle ERP system would be highly regarded
  • Proven track record in driving continuous improvement and best practices.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills with analytical, and problem solving skills
