Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Capital Portfolio Analyst to contribute to Council’s success.

About the Role

The purpose of this position is to set the portfolio management framework and accountabilities, ensuring alignment to best practice frameworks and methodologies and to provide governance oversight, manage and maintain the delivery of Council’s three-year rolling Capital Portfolio.

Essential criteria

1. Bachelor Degree in Business (or related discipline) and/or demonstrated significant experience and success in portfolio, program and project management driving success and business improvement.

2. Proven experience developing, implementing and maintaining up to date strategies which integrate with other relevant policies, and decision-making frameworks.

3. Extensive experience in project management of a significant complexity within a political environment with varying stakeholders.

4. High level negotiation and communication skills to effectively investigate and analyse complex issues and work with senior management, employees, contractors and consultants.

5. Comprehensive experience developing reports and presentations (verbal and written English) and face to face interactions including recommendations, to Senior Management, CEO and Council on a broad range of issues (technical and non-technical) targeting audience requirements.

6. Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and corporate business systems.

7. Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
