About the role:

The Central Queensland Coal Operations has multiple transformation initiatives supporting a critical change phase in the business.  Reporting to the Manager Integration & Transformation for Coal South, the Business Performance Leader (Coal South) based in Gladstone leads a team of Transformation Specialists to ensure the projects are delivered in line with business requirements.  This is a full time 12-month maximum term contract.

 The role will be accountable for:

  • Partnering with leadership team/s to identify and support improvement and optimisation opportunities
  • Manage a team to deliver on identified priorities.
  • Reviewing & analysing business processes including technology, capability and change management considerations.
  • Leading the distribution of analysis and reporting with a view to influence and inform management decision making that optimises commercial value and minimises risk to the enterprise.
  • Collaboratively, lead development of project/change plans to enable sustainable change

About you: 

  • You’re an experienced leader who has a proven track record in effectively managing small teams. 
  • Ideally you will have applied change management and/or process improvement methodologies (e.g. lean / six sigma) in previous roles
  • An excellent understanding of data analytics and statistical methods
  • High level of operational business management skills including financial and budget control, complex problem solving and analytical thinking to respond to dynamic and changing business needs.
  • You are values driven and results focussed, with the ability to coordinate resources to meet deadlines.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to communicate cross functionally.
  • Effective business acumen, strategic thinking and business planning skills.
