ABC Heavy Engineering is a locally owned and operated company. Over the past 30 years, the company, through its ingenuity and commitment to research and development, has developed into a major supplier of a wide range of services to the Mining, Sugar, and Agricultural Industries, as well as the Civil Sector and Sea Ports, both in Australia and overseas.


We are always looking for new ways to expand and grow our departments and services. That’s why we need you – a motivated, experienced, and enthusiastic Business Development Manager. 


About you – you are smart. You are mechanically minded. You are a born communicator, creative, persuasive and a problem-solver, who is not afraid to think outside of the box when it comes to keeping your customers happy. You have a hunger to sell but more than this, you are an educator. You will know that there is a solution to every request, every problem. And fundamental to your work ethic is your need to be part of a successful, high-performing team and company.


What you require to be eligible for the role:

  • Experience in Mining and Heavy Engineering industries
  • Ability to travel between sites and a range of locations around the Bowen Basin.
  • Ability to identify and secure opportunities and partnerships to achieve our targets for growth
  • Proven experience and ability to sell in all market conditions


Key areas of focus

  • Heavy equipment hire (Dozers, Loaders, Graders etc.)
  • Equipment hire (Cranes, forklifts)
  • Mine site labour hire (Servicing sites that we currently have labour)
