Job description:

Fantastic opportunity to drive growth for our Independent Brands Australia (IBA) group, which includes leading brands such as Cellarbrations, The Bottle-O & Thirsty Camel. This role will partner with our stores from Hervey Bay to Bundaberg to Rockhampton (possibly up to Mackay) out to Emerald and Longreach and down to Roma!

Your role will seek opportunities to increase our membership base, along with the development of existing members, building robust, trust-based relationships. As a business specialist you will consult on financial and growth value opportunities. Together you will bring to life the "Best Store in Town"!

What you'll do

  • Review & planning based on budgets, balance Scorecard and new growth opportunities
  • Conduct routine business and category reviews with each member within your territory on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Use the advanced technology to input data and create reports for retailers
  • On boarding all stores with new Portal Sales platform and eComm offerings
  • Work with the Merchandising team to deliver against the O&E portfolio along with growth opportunities within a shared business plan
  • Ensure that stores comply with relevant Acts, legal requirements and ethical standards, particularly in relation to OH&S, Workers Compensation, Food Safety and HACCP, Liquor Licensing and Tobacco Licensing
  • Ensure the network of stores within each banner maintain brand standards
  • Top line engagement of any store refurb or refresh
  • Build strategic JBP's with retailers for ongoing development
  • Ensure all stores are adopting best practice principles and processes
  • Grow stores using Scan Data & market insights, deliver fact-based selling
  • Drive POS Integrations to optimize operational efficiencies
  • Review and document growth expectations vs. actuals with member and state teams

What you'll bring

  • Retail experience within the liquor or grocery industry
  • Passion for helping small businesses and consulting on best practices to optimise performance
  • High level of customer service and communication skills
  • Experience in developing joint business plans
  • Advanced Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Sound financial skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage deadlines
  • Track record in achieving targets and budgets
  • Prior experience with POS Systems
