Bushfire Recovery and Resilience Officer (3597) – Temporary Full Time up to 31 March 2024
The Livingstone Shire sits nestled along the beautiful Capricorn Coast and covers approximately 11,776 square kilometres, with a population of almost 36,000 residents. Livingstone Shire Council was created in 2013 and employs approximately 350 people.

This position will be accountable for the development of the Livingstone Shire Council Bushfire Management Strategy, coordination of bushfire mitigation strategies including the mapping of fire trails and breaks, community education and liaising with other agencies.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Studies, Public Safety (Firefighting) or other relevant fields and/or relevant experience; and
• Possess and maintain a current motor vehicle driver licence.
• Salary - $85,573 p/a - QLGIA (Stream A) Level 5;
• 9-day fortnight; and
• Supportive work environment.
