The Assistant Manager role is an integral part of our business service proposition. In this role, you will assist the Relationship Manager to develop sustained business growth whilst maintaining sound risk management to ensure that a quality portfolio is maintained. To maximise returns to the group, the position will require a close working relationship with our product specialists

What will your day look like

This role is accountable for:

 

  • Building & maintaining strong relationships with portfolio of middle-market trading business customers.

  • Preparation, submission & presentation of credit papers enabling well informed lending decisions.

  • Financial modelling including debt servicing & sensitivity analysis.

  • Overseeing accurate drafting and execution of loan documentation, ensuring lending is provided within correct parameters.

  • Overseeing day-to-day management of customer enquiries alongside product specialists.

  • Ensure well managed responsibilities are met in a timely manner including portfolio monitoring practices.

  • Maximise own development and performance by executing against agreed development plan.

  • Instilling a customer centric approach to business by collaborating with stakeholders and product partners.

  • Meet ANZ requirements and adhere to policy in relation to compliance, risk and behaviours.

  • Adhere to Group credit policies and standards regarding reporting and documentation.

What will you bring?

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and customer focus.

  • Ideally with tertiary qualifications in accounting, business, or finance discipline.

  • Good knowledge of financial analysis and understanding of business principles.

  • Experience in customer facing roles, preferably within accounting or finance.
