We have an exciting opportunity available for a Commercial Officer or Assistant Accountant to join the dynamic team on site. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will focus on the provision of accurate and timely management and financial accounting information to meet mining operations and corporate requirements. Your day to day will include administration, cost management, general ledger management, assisting in EOM activities, monthly forecasting, and budgets. You will be required to actively support all departments across site, respond to corporate office requests and queries and provide timely reports for external parties.
You will develop and maintain an environment of compliance and control in all aspects of the site commercial function and provide stewardship to the operating departments and supporting functions.
You will be a financially astute with an interest in further developing your career in Finance. Essential attributes include well developed interpersonal skills, a flexible attitude, a sound work ethic and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and problem solve. An advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a requirement. Accounting qualification, site experience and previous use of an ERP system (SAP) will be highly regarded.
