The Opportunity:
Due to company growth, our Valves branch, based in Gladstone, QLD currently have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Fitter / Machinist to cover Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade.  Reporting to the Valves Supervisor, this is an excellent opportunity to kick off your career in a well-respected and expanding company with excellent opportunities for growth. 
 
The Role:
EnerMech’s apprentices will be trained in the maintenance and operation of our equipment and services related to the Oil and Gas Services industry.  Responsibilities of the role will include:
  • Follow all safety procedures and work instructions as required
  • General Fitting and Machining
  • General Cleaning of Machinery
  • Grit Blasting
  • Painting
  • Valve Stripping
  • Lapping
  • Valve Assembly
  • Maintain inspection equipment
  • Purchase order requisitions
  • Read and interpret maintenance and parts manuals
 
Our Apprentice:
The successful candidate will be rewarded with a full time Fitter Machinist apprenticeship where you will be mentored and supported in your studies.  As your apprenticeship progresses, you will grow into one of EnerMech’s valued Technicians.
 
Our ideal candidate will ideally have completed prevocational studies in a trade whilst at school.  You will have a passion for mechanics and a strong desire to learn the trade of Fitting and Machining (Engineering Mechanical trade).  You’ll be self-motivated, have a basic knowledge of mechanical equipment and a passion to learn more.
